Regrettably I have to assure Walter Meyer that Radio 3 has indeed "dumbed
down" a long way over recent years.  There is still a lot of very good
programming there, and the BBC keep it going as proof of their cultural
credentials (helps to justify the BBC's funding by licence fee).  Sadly,
very few people listen to most of it.
