Guess what? I'll bet Mr. Towe and one Gustav Leonhardt would probably have
more to agree with than the anti-HIP crowd might think.  To paraphrase Mr.
Leonhardt, "If the performance is convincing, it will give an authentic
impression.  If it strives to be authentic, it will never be convincing."

Hypocrisy, like talk, is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand.  And
because hypocrisy is usually found on both sides of an argument.
