IIRC there were quite a number of live recordings made at that time to
exploit the just-introduced electric technology.  The Elgar performance
Tony mentions is new to me, but I can think of Melba's farewell concert
and Chaliapine at Covent Garden in 'Boris Godunow' (or was that later?).
Does anyone here know of any others?
