Indeed, Fiedler's recording is with the BSO.  It is quite good.  Early
in his career he had a group called the Fiedler Sinfonietta and made
recordings of some interesting repertoire, some obscure organ concerto with
Biggs, the Pachelbel canon, some Hindemith, etc.  On one of my stops at
the Music Library of Boston University I looked through his collection of
scores.  I was amazed to see the range of materials, his close annotations
and his attention to detail.

While I don't have an ideal 9th, my favorites remain the Reiner and
Toscanini.
