Guess what? According to the "studio news" section of their website,
Turangalila has indeed been recorded by none other than Wit and his Poles.
Unfortunately,they do not specify in the short notice who the pianist is,
but I would be surprised if it wasn't Austbo.  It's a 2cd with L'Ascension
as the coupling.  And yes, I was thinking of that release you described--
we get new Naxos releases fairly late here in the US, or at least the
online stores I get stuff from do.  It's usually two or three months after
I see one in a British mag before it appears for order at CDNow.  Anyway,
I don't have any of the works on that disc, but I was hoping for Fauvette
des Jardins.  I sure am glad Naxos hooked up somebody so obviously
suited/motivated for the Messiaen series.
