In my humble opinion amongst the best.  Notably, he has a very fine set
of singers in the 13th and 14th.(Ortrun Wenkel, Fischer Dieskau to name
some).  Very nicely recorded too (mostly Concertgebouw).  No big surprises
in tempi, it's just all there, splendidly played.  If you are going for a
complete set on bargain price, Haitink's is the best choice.  And while
you're getting the complete set: just check out nrs.  4 and 11, the dark
horses.  If you want a set to live with, and not be spoiled for different
views, go for it.
