It's fine with me if you want to hate ANYBODY. Just don't inflict your
hatreds on me. A twenty-five year silence? I'd be bereft without my string
quartets, piano sonatas, piano and violin sonatas, cello and piano sonatas,
string trios, and piano concerti. Obviously it's time for you to listen to
someone else. So leave Ludwig alone if you must, but leave him for me to
love.

All kidding aside: This is the kind of message I just don't understand.
With all the wonderful music out there, why would anyone complain about
what they DON'T like? I'd prefer to learn what people like, and why (if
it is possible for them to tell.)

No matter how crummy I feel with my eyes full of pollen and my chest full
of goo, Beethoven still has the power to make me happy, and has done so for
more than five decades. Reappraisal? This is one appraisal that keeps
going up in value.

Mr. Wisse, you must be trolling.
