Whoah there!  Wasn't it titled "A Song to Remember," and wasn't it not
exactly Gruyere?

Was that the remake where Bruckner plays himself? (Fredric March did
remakes of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, Les Miserables, Smilin' Through,
Resurrection and Anna Karenina, but not Phantom.)
