Barenboim's New Beethoven Symphony Cycle

I noticed that the complete set of Beethoven's symphonies from Daniel
Barenboim on Teldec will be released in the U.S.  on 25 April.  CDNOW
lists the price at $75.99 plus shipping.

I was a little surprised, at this point, that single discs are not to be
available.  For me, paying over $70 for Barenboim is an iffy proposition
without some insights.  Have any of our overseas list members heard any
of the new set? Is it worth the price tag?
