This is in addition to my previous reply.  There is a Sinfonia of
London alive and well today as their web site shows:

   http://www.sinfonia-of-london.com/

However, the Sinfonia of London that was to be found on recordings in
the 1960s was, as I say, a much more ad hoc ensemble.
