Rosbaud was one of the best least-known conductors of this century, like
Scherchen, Horenstein, Mitropoulos, and Boult.  He worked for, I think,
German radio, and he had the luxury of as much rehearsal as he wanted.
He had a great interest in what was then new music, and because of his
rehearsal allotment produced some of the great recordings of Schoenberg
and Stravinsky (Rosbaud's Agon I still consider the best recording).  He
was also a fantastic Mozart conductor, with an elegant line and very
clear texture.
