Nate mentioned already listening to the symphonies, chamber music, and
violin concerto.  With that in mind, I'd recommend the two piano concertos,
double concerto, Requiem, and the piano works.  The piano works are not
generally considered at the top of the Brahms repertoire, but they are
masterful compositions.
