Dear Andrea:

You can dissolve the crystallized sugar by putting it in hot water and 
stirring. The crystals are (usually) bigger than the crystals in granulated 
sugar so you will have to stir longer. Use about equal weight of water to 
sugar and add the resulting solution to your regular stock.
