What a joy to see Liszt's LES PRELUDES mentioned. My very first classical
LP purchase was of this work in November 1963 when I was a mere 13. I had
heard some of the music used in the serial, Flash Gordon, and I had to have
it.

Thousands of purchases later I still enjoy the work. The Naxos recording
is good and one cannot question the price. Also enjoyable are Kurt Masur
and the Leipzig Orchestra and Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic. The
former can be purchased in an EMI two-for-one set and the Karajan is
included on one of the DGG "Originals." I wish BMG would dig into its
vaults and issue the Fiedler/Boston Pops performance.
