Mark Seeley wrote concerning piano concerto no. 24:

>This is the most compelling of his piano concertos and should be part of a
>basic repertoire:

I tend to agree mainly because of the 1st movement - it's demonic,
invigorating, and Mozart's best piano concerto movement.

Following close behind in my enjoyment are nos. 17, 19, 21, and 22.

For no. 17, my favorite is Schiff on London - Perahia for no. 19, Bilson
for no. 21, Barenboim(EMI) for no. 22, and Frantz on Eurodisc for no.
24. I don't know that Eurodisc still exists; I hope the Frantz recording
gets picked up by some label. His first movement is perfect if you want
the "underworld" highlighted.
