The original tapes were retransfered and cleaned up using systems such
as CEDAR hiss removal.  The digital transfer using a higher resolution
equipment would have improved things audibly anyway.

It's a definite re-mastering and a definite improvement over the original
CD transfer.  I've heard LP, CD and this new version which is better.
For once the de-noising attributes are inaudible.
