I am delighted to read of someone else who has heard Thomas Quasthoff.  I
heard him sing in the St Matthew's passion a while ago.  I respect him for
his voice and also his attention to detail.  His stage presence is also to
be complimented, he demonstrates a genuine warmth when performing - some
soloists tend to be self-absorbed and detached from the listeners.
