A few days age, there was a query about concerts in Vienna. Unfortunately
I deleted the post by mistake and cannot give the writers' name. [Once
again, this information is always easily accessible via the archives.

I would like to suggest that you contact Herr Strommer at [log in to unmask]
He would be able to assist you in the choice of concert, booking of tickets
and his company will also deliver the tickets to the hotel where you are
staying. He has been most helpful to me in the past.

There are often small concerts at Palais Lobkowitz (just round the corner
from the State Opera House). It is a small venue and has WONDERFUL
acoustics. The concert programs are performed on certain days - this is
where you need Herr Strommer to advise you.

The Musiekverein (main hall) is another exquisite venue for concerts and
definitely worthwhile to try and attend a concert there - also excellent
acoustics.

In Dorotheergasse (also near to the Opera House) there is a small music
Doblinger which sells sheet music and also CD's.

It is very worthwhile to go on a tour of the Opera House (Staatoper).
I have never been to an Opera there.

Vienna is one of my favourite cites, I wish you a pleasant trip.

Philippa
