Thanks for the response...I think my concern was related to the amount - <> 3
oz. coming from one breast.  I have not encountered that before.  Yes, they
did "pull out all the stops" in terms of checking out the baby.  The parents
were scared tremendously.  Mom has accepted their dictum to not bf for "a
while."  So, Dr. Newman, are you saying that this amount of blood coming from
a breast is not significant in terms of any potential pathological condition
in the mom? I have seen rusty milk syndrome, but not bleeding to this extent.
