1. c-section
How soon after a c-section can a mom breastfeed? Do you have to
worry about the anesthetics passing through the colostrum?
  >>
Michelle:

As soon as mom is sitting she can breastfeed

If a mom has a general , she can bf as soon as she is awake..

there is no concern about the anesthetics. the disapate very quickly.

hormonal contraceptives:

progesterone only, depro, norplant... all carry a risk. USUALLY
o.k. after 6 wks... there are ALWAYS an exception! -sorry-
