The CCC people were involved with several archaeological projects. The two
that spring to mind are the excavation and building of the visitor center at
Tuzigoot, Arizona, and the excavation and reconstruction of Mission La
Purisima in Lompoc, California. The report on La Purisima was written in the
1930's but not published until 1980. How's that for a time lag?!
