Mom is G2P2 with a history of successful breastfeeding with her first.
Second baby is 6 weeks old and was born at 36 weeks and 2 days due to
IUGR. Baby was in NICU for 8 days due to prematurity (no health issues
reported) and received pumped breast milk. Mom had low iron during her
pregnancy and received one transfusion due to low hemoglobin the day after
the birth. She is currently taking her PNV and an iron supplement. Baby
is eating at the breast and taking pumped milk by bottle.

About two weeks ago mom, when baby was 4 weeks old, mom started to have
what felt like low blood sugar episodes after feeding and pumping during
the day. She gets nauseous and dizzy feeling and has to lie down for 20
minutes. She says this mostly happens during the day and never at night,
so it could be related to doing too much, but she says it's pretty
debilitating and no matter what she eats or how much she naps, it doesn't
seem to help.

Has anyone had this experience with a client or have thoughts on what may
help (besides telling her to eat and nap)?

She has no history of hyper/hypo glycemia, although hasn't been tested
since this baby has been born, and did not experience this with her first.

Thanks!
