Charles,

Almost every seed that is planted in North Alabama is treated, Canola, corn 
beans, wheat, almost all.

Even the sweet corn for gardens, peas, beans, the whole lot.

Very few worms in the end of an ear of corn. 60 years ago, almost every ear 
had a worm.

When I was a teenager, I dusted cotton for the public. Birds were plentiful.

I understand why farmers use pesticides, bottom line, bees, birds, whatever 
does not matter.

We have so many black birds, often they have to be killed to slow down the 
diseases they spread.
