Just a quick reminder...if you are from a U.S.-based ASTC member institution, and you're interested in learning more about the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), representatives from jcpenney and FIRST will be leading an explanatory conference call tomorrow (Tuesday, August 30) at 1:00 pm E.T.

As you're probably aware, through FRC, teams of 25 or more high school students work alongside professional engineers to build and program a robot to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. ASTC partner jcpenney is making available $6,500 grants to cover the full cost of registration and initial materials for the FRC program. Grant recipients are paired with a jcpenney store, providing a source of support and partnership.
