I've used a Livescribe pen--it's great for focus groups, or meetings involving a 'dump' of concentrated information.
http://www.livescribe.com/en-au/

Due to our organisation's IT security requirements, being able to upload files to share with other people has been severely hampered, but if that's not an issue for you, it's a great tool.

PROS
Unlike a linear audio/written transcript, you can jump back and forth easily and quickly within a recording to check points for clarification (either using the notebook/pen or uploaded file/mouse click).
Notebook files and associated audio files can be uploaded onto your Livescribe account, so other selected users can click on an area and hear what was said while those notes were being written.

CONS
You need to use special notepaper with tiny printed dots.
You need to be conscious of whether it needs to be recharged, and it has a limited (though generous) audio file storage.
It's expensive (up to AUD$200 here)
Not so great for Macs, or security conscious IT systems.

I was in Best Buy Thursday and noticed a pen called livescribe. It looked pretty interesting, but I couldn't get a clerk to tell me more about it, and didn't have time to watch their demo videos. Anyone familiar with it? Are they similar to Wacom?
