Hello Preeti,

Photojournalling is a good opportunity for reflective thinking back in
the classroom or home. Children photograph what interested them most in
the galleries, which they can then revisit and summarise back in the
classroom, or upload onto a central website. The school children could
either use their own mobile phone cameras, or the institution may be
able to supply cheaper model digital cameras per pair or group of
students. This technique is more focussed on post-visit than in-situ
reflection.

hi everyone,

I am in search for successful strategies (or even unsuccessful ones)
where you have tried to build in a journal type experience at the
exhibits for elementary school kids on a field trip. Different from a
worksheet, have you tried setting up opportunities to journal? What does
the journal look like?
What is in it? How long does the experience take? Is it for specific
areas of the museum? Is it a complete failure? Any and all comments,
philosophies, but especially strategies are welcome. Thanks in advance.
