Museum Colleagues:

We plan to hang a large banner on the exterior of the museum, to draw
people's attention to our building. This will be located on the east side of
the building and will be 120" wide x 245" high.

In the past, we have had such banners for traveling exhibitions. Lately, we
have used ultraflex ultramesh for the banner, with no wind slits. This
worked fine for the 3 - 6 months of the exhibition, and there was no
substantial fading from the sun or wind problem.

We now want to design a generic banner that can be up for long periods of
time when we are not doing a traveling exhibition, e.g., for a year  or
more. And, of course, we want the banner to withstand sun fading for as long
as possible.

I would much appreciate hearing from any of you who have experience with
outdoor banner materials, and can advise on which materials will last the
longest.
