Hello, Jeff:

The New York Hall of Science has a successful rock climbing wall  
activity as a part of the exhibition Sports Challenge.  It is very  
popular and kinetic, and presents no major operational problems.  It  
is quite low (about 9 feet), and can be used unattended with  
appropriate safety flooring.  Feel free to contact me offlist if you  
would like more detailed info about operations and learning goals.
