ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers

Its called a heliostat. I saw an amazing example in battery park
city in lower manhattan. They are building a new residential
building that is U shaped with the opening of the U facing north. So
the courtyard would be quite dark and cold. No problem, they dropped
a massive heliostat (my impression is that it was a 20 foot
*radius*on the top of a building to the north that will reflect
sunlight into the courtyard. When we saw it, we couldn't help but
imagine them making the mirror a *little* convex, to help with
tanning. Anyway, as the man would have said: "google and you shall
