Subject: Parks Canada Publication Reprints

Parks Canada is exploring the possibility of re-issuing a few out-of-print
publications, principally Glass of the British Military 1755-1820, by Olive
Jones (1985) and A Frontier Fur Trade Blacksmith Shop 1796 - 1812, by John
Light and Henry Unglik (1984). Both were published in the Studies in
Archaeology, Architecture and History series.

To set the reprinting process in motion, the Publications Unit needs to
establish that there is a market for one or both of these titles. As the
HistArch-L membership represents a good cross-section of the historical
archaeology field, we thought it would be the appropriate one  to canvas.
Consequently, if either title is of interest to you, please contact Suzanne
Plousos ([log in to unmask]) offline. If you work for an
organization or contracting firm, please indicate how many copies might be
purchased by your colleagues. This will give us a better idea of what a
printing run should be. A sentence or two explaining why the books are of
interest would help our efforts. Please note that sending in your comments
will not obligate you to buy a copy should the titles be reprinted.

Thanks for your help!
