Further to my request for a definition of post-modernism, I notice that
a link to a story in The New York Times about the Kirov's "La Bayadere"
contains the phrase "premodern splendor", whose meaning is, for me, equally
obscure.  Any day now, I suppose, we'll have neo-modernism, or has that
happened already?
