Dunno about Bruckner, but John Stainer turned the main theme of the slow
movement of this sonata into an Anglican chant (you can find it as no.
331 of _The Anglican Chant Book_).  A friend of mine who is very keen on
Beethoven used it for the psalm at her wedding (as well as entering the
chapel to an organ arrangement of a piece by LvB for mechanical clock).
About the best use for it - the melody suffers a bit in the translation to
four-part choir.
