Good Day,

I believe the ceramic object that you have is a "gemel bottle', a type
of storage vessel for two different liquids...say oil & vinegar. These
were popular in the first third of the 19th century.

There is a photo and slight mention  (page 200) of an intact specimen
in:

Early American Folk Pottery by Harold F. Guilland. Chilton Book Co.,
Philadelphia. 1971.
