Adding to Patricia's post regarding Dr. Freed's article & transmission
of B strep:
I have always considered Streptococcal infections to be "extra-cellular"
and not "systemic".  Unless the infection was in a milk duct or the mom
was septicemic, how in the world is the bacteria getting into the breast
milk?
