I was forwarded a study from "Pediatric Dentistry" on dental caries and
breastmilk from a friend.  The end conclusion is that breastmilk is not
cariogenic.  I do not have the web link, but if you would like to have a
copy of the article I will gladly forward in on to you.  The article is from
the March/April 1999 issue.  I too was told to wean my now 5 year old when
he was 18 months old because of dental caries and I am glad I didn't listen
to the dentist on that point.  I wish I would have had this information back
then.
