Great News! House Bill 31 passed unanimously in the Delaware Senate
today (20 - 0). It's on its way to the Governor! We're requesting a
signing ceremony.
My twin daughters, Kendall and Carlie, and I were the only ones who
could be there from our "breastfeeding community". Liane Sorenson
(chief Senate sponsor and former President of Nursing Mothers, Inc.)
introduced us (they actually applauded the babies) and let me tell the
Holocaust Museum story Terriann Shell and I experienced. Two Senators
asked to hold Carlie and Kendall as I approached the podium. After they
recessed, our Lt. Governor invited us to join her on the platform when
they reconvened. Geez, it's fun to be in a small state!
Thanks for your help and support. I'll keep you posted on the signing.
