Melissa, This is a rural part of Mississippi and there is a lot of
agriculture, so chemicals/toxins could play a part. Also Mississippi is the
'fattest' state in the USA, among many other health care markers in which we
rank lowest or second lowest. We see quite a lot of PCOS with the classic
s/s.
Just want to re-affirm I am aware of galactagogues (was mentioned in my
posts) including goat's rue, I do recommend that. Also, there is no question
to feed the baby and work on the supply, but *when to supplement* (even
before 24 hrs if s/s apparent of low supply, i.e. unsatisfied baby even with
lots of bf) is the question.
I do really appreciate your comments, as it seems you would recommend
discussing the breast assessment and risk of low production with mother as
soon as it is identified.
