Why are there suggestions that the milk should be treated? For years at
the hospital at which I work our peds have told the Mums to just keep
breastfeeding. In every case this problem has resolved itself in time,
although it can take weeks sometimes. None of the babies have suffered
and, just as important, the Mums were thus not made to feel that they
have caused their baby harm by breastfeeding.
