dr hale says: short acting benzodiazepine primarily used as an inducion
or preanesthetic medication... in one study of 22 woman 15 mg midzolam given
orally each evening produced no detectible level of midozalom sven hours
after dose, even 5 days postpartum. midazolam disappears rapidly from milk
with undectable levels after four hours. the authors suggest that waiting
four hours after dosing would expose infant to mnimal midazolam.
