While recently attempting to pump several severely engorged breasts, I've
noticed that the nipple blanches during pumping. No milk flows at all.
Once the pump is removed the colour returns, leaking may occur
spontaneously, but the minute you start pumping again, everything siezes up.
Can anyone explain what happens and how to facilitate milk flow? (apart
from warmth, massage, etc. which I've already tried, OK until you start
pumping ...) Thanks for any ideas.

Pamela, zimbabwe
