I just want to remind you all how baby cows are fed.  They receive
colostrum for the first day or so, from mom or pumped.  Then they go on
calf replacer formula, a concoction that allows them to be "bucket fed"
while mom cow is being milked 2 times a day to fill all of those bottles
and boxes sold in grocery stores. Pretty bleak, eh? at least it is species
specific.  Magda's post was very thoughtful.  I sent my answers to the
