I attended a ILCA seminar several years ago and met a very interesting and knowledgeable clinical educator, Noreen Slebenaler, RN,MSN,LCCE,IBCLC, who is (was?) in California at Kaweah Delta Maternal-Child Health/ The Paradise House. She presented a discussion on assisting the disabled mother and I have used her techniques frequently in my practice. Sandra Welner, MD, has a published book- Welner's Guide to the Care of Women with Disabilities, that I have found helpful. If you email me offline, I have the telephone contact information for Noreen.
