This mom should receive assistance with pumping while she is in the ICU about 15-20 minutes, at least 8 times/day. It is likely that her meds are fine in this situation but you should look in the latest edition of Dr. Hale's Medications and Mother's Milk. We have had moms in this situation and been able to use their milk and have the ICU staff help with pumping.
