Here's an unhappy event: Mom and dad of an 8 month old are splitting up.
They are involved in a horrible custody battle and both want time with her.
Mom asserts that the baby (who happily is still breastfed) has to nurse
several times an hour and therefore can't be separated from mom. The baby
is healthy, takes solids by finger and by spoon, and is starting to use a
cup. Our state law says that if the baby can't be separated for more than 2
hours from mom, dad will not get to see the baby at all.

I want this baby to bf all she can, but my sneaking suspicion is that mom
isn't giving the baby the chance to space feedings a little bit, to get back
at dad. What do you all think? Mom and dad are BOTH mad at me!

Thanks,
Suzanne
