If Lactnetters want information about drugs, it would be better if you
used generic names.  There is no drug in Canada with this name, and Dr.
Hale is off line and Frank Nice is coming on only occasionally.  Others
respond inconsistently.

I will bet Dr. Hale does not contraindicate this antibiotic.  I don't
think there is any antibiotic which is contraindicated during
breastfeeding.

You are right though.  It is a crying shame that physicians tend to use
the hottest, newest drug for anything.  In this case, I bet plain old
amoxycillin would have worked.
