Hello,

Does anyone out there have any research or experience with breastfeeding a baby undergoing bone marrow transplantation? Doctors have some concern about the possibility of maternal cells triggering GVHD. It seems to me that it could only help a child whose immune system has been completely destroyed. It should help keep the child infection free. Right?
If anyone has seen research or has had experience with this please contact me privately.

Thanks in advance,

Daniela TorresMarco MS, RD, IBCLC
