I suggest you ask each of the pump companies involved.  These companies
designed a product that is intended to perform a certain physiologic
function.  They will have the research and design information to back-up the
intended use of their products -- and why.   Each can explain why their own
product requires its own kits.  They don't have to "bad-mouth" the
competition to help you educate your staff -- indeed, I think they will
welcome the opportunity to have legitimate access to you and your staff.
They may even want to come do an in-service.
