If it's doubling the mom and baby in the twin bed that is the crux of the
policy, then why not push a crib with one side rail removed against one
side of mom's FLAT, raised-to-height bed, in side-car fashion?  Both
patients would still be in their own beds, meeting hospital policy, no?
Perhaps arm restraints or tape could be used to secure the crib frame to
the bed...  any suggestions?
