# That is another solution: put recliners in rooms for family members
to stay. #

Oh wow... in the maternity ward of our local hospital the rooms have a
small "change station" and three beds, and if/when each mom brings in
her baby's tiny plactic cot, there isn't any room left between the
beds and the cots, they are side by side. Actually mothers are
encouraged to receive visitors at the hallway, not in the rooms. Most
other hospitals have at least a few "family rooms" (where dad (and
siblings) may stay overnight), but our local hospital has none <sigh>.
