Aloha,

Have a question from a mom who is trying to get as much information as
possible. She has a three week old baby with Downs Syndrome. Baby is now 6
lbs. 1 oz. Baby will be having surgery in February or March to repair heart.
Mom said wall was missing between chamber.

Mom has been pumping to supplement with ebm when necessary. Baby is doing
much better at the breast, so supplementing is lessening. Baby has also been
receiving donor milk from mother's friend. The doctors actually seem to
support her decision on the donor milk.

The woman who has been donating the milk recently came down with a cold. Mom
wants to know if this would be a concern to the baby. In this instance, I
was not sure. Mom does not need to use milk at the moment and hopes not to
have to dump it. She will be seeing doctor on Wednesday, but wants to gather
as much information as possible.

Thank you
